Proverbs 31 Ministries is a non-denominational, non-profit Christian ministry that seeks to lead women into a personal relationship with Christ. Each day they publish a radio broadcast, a written devotional, and bible-study posts and materials…all with supporting products and books for sale. The overall challenge was to present all of this in a way that properly exposed it and stayed true to the well-established brand aesthetic …while at the same time, making it easy for their internal team to publish and manage the content.
The ministry's aethetic was already well described by the imagery they used, but the site's design and typography didn't support that theme, so I created a design that allowed every element to support their brand's integrity.
The original site was very linear in its content presentation: see one post then click a link to the next. I reorganized the content by media then designed media-specific landing hubs and "explore further" content promotions to better expose the depth and breadth of their content offering.
Proverbs 31's bible studies are a big part of their ministry, but they found it difficult to convey invitations to sign-up for the upcoming study while highlighting the current study and referencing past studies…in addition to explaining how it all worked. I devised a content scheme that brought clarity to this complex but vital component of their ministry-to-audience interaction.
